Guitar rig re-install
I downloaded X2 from cake site. I Deleted Guitar rig & was wanting to reinstall it. Is there a way to just reinstall guitar rig without changing anything else from my downloaded & extracted files (4 of them I recall)? (BTW Originally I couldn't pull up any components in Git rig)

Guitar Rig isn't part of X2, do you mean the TH2 amp sim?

If you previously had X1 you have a licence for Guitar Rig LE, which should show up in your NI Service Centre. Download the latest update from NI and install that, using the serial number and registration code from your previous installation (serial number from your cakewalk account, registration code from NI Service Centre). Although it's called an update, it is a full installation. If you never had X1 then you don't have a licence for Guitar Rig LE. Hope this helps.

Can't remember a bass amp in X1, except GR4 LE includes an amp model called Bass Pro, if that's what you mean.

I think you are referring to the Studio Instrument Bass synth. It is included in X2. I was confused when you asked about a "bass amp simulator."

If you have Guitar Rig, I'd highly recommend buying the Skarbee PreBass module. Huge step up in sound from the SI Bass synth. (Although SI Bass synth is included in Sonar, so for "free" it sounds fantastic!)

About the update being a working full version. I downloaded the most recent update and the installer said it saw no previous version to update and ended.

Can you please indicate the version of Guitar Rig that you had deleted? What version are you trying to install? If this was GR 4 LE, from a prior Sonar, can't you install again from your earlier Sonar version? (Just deselect program files and all else but GR 4 LE). In any case, what happened to your original version of Guitar Rig version x install files? Bob Bone

Whatever was included with x1 (or possibly 7) I don't have x1 files anymore. I put in a request to cake to get it back but if you've ever dealt with them they are slow as January molasses at best. I'd love to be a customer service manager there I'd turn that place around like you wouldn't believe. We have hundreds of emails every day at my work and they all get responded to by the next.

If you originally downloaded X1 and do not have the setup files, go to you store account Follow the download link for SONAR X1 Producer and download 02_SONAR_X1_Producer.part1.exe and 02_SONAR_X1_Producer.part2.exe Run 02_SONAR_X1_Producer.part1.exe When prompted enter your serial number, select 32 or 64 bit install, select custom install, deselect everything except Guitar Rig 4 LE Reregister Guitar Rig Apply Guitar Rig updates

Yeah, my mistake, sorry. It IS a full install in the sense that it re-installs everything, but as it's offered as an upgrade it needs to see a previous installation. As scook says, just download your original installation files from your Cake Store account, selectively install just GR4 then apply the update. This fixed the 'missing components' issue for me.
