Breverb in X2

Haven't seen much posted about this new feature.  I just wanted to say that I had a chance to play around with it last night, and go through some of the presets, and I'm very impressed so far.  It is a very spacious, natural sounding reverb.  Very well done Cakewalk

I like it as well as the wave reverb I use to use in windows XP. Very nice and rich without harsh edges. Love it! Thank you Sonar X2.

I wonder if there's any point in upgrading to the full version?

I've put it on several projects and compared side by side with one of the waves reverbs. I found it to be just as un-obvious in the mix as my previous go-to reverb. From the little bit I've heard it is a keeper. Sounds quite natural, hence the un-obvious comment above. Maybe I should have said "It doesn't stick out and sound un-natural".

The best algorithmic reverb Cake has bundled w/ Producer.  IMHO, anyway.

As a heavy user of Perfect Space and Sonittus I must say, Breverb just may become my new "go to" reverb. I have a huge library of IRs that I pull in to Perfect Space and it has served me well for a long time. Breverb has delivered great sound quality and cut my workflow down quite a bit. No more library searching for that right IR!

I never really got on that well with Perfect Space and always tended to gravitate back to the Pantheon, or more recently, the free Epicverb.

But IMHO, Breverb blows them all out of the water.

Listen to your reverb bus in solo mode - what you get is clear, pristine reverb with no metallic undertones or artifacts, it's wonderfully clean.

Gotta say it helped make the decision to jump to X2 that bit easier.... it sounds excellent having loved Pantheon for a long time.

    Cheers.

It would be interesting to hear if users use it more as a pro channel module or in the effects window, I personally tend to use it a long side other pro channel modules, I have to say the additions and functionality improvements on the pro channel are very welcome.

Have to say I really like the Bverb module and it works fine loaded into Prochannel,  but when I use it as a VST there seems to be an issue.   When I re-open a file the Breverbs do not work.

Glad to see there's more love in the room (punn intended ).  I plan to use it in the Prochannel.  I really like having things consolidated into that one strip and not have other windows needing to be popped up to use them.  Now my only gripe is that the brick wall limiter still costs almost as much as the entire program that is cabable of 1.5 trillion functions.  But Breverb eliminates yet another plugin in my setup, so I'm grateful.

OK... I'm the oddball here... I like Pantheon and the Sonitus reverbs better...  All of the Breverb presets I have tried on my mixes sound similar to a gated reverb so far (more like white noise than spacial reflections)... not as shimmery or natural as the other 2.... to my ears.  Maybe I just haven't twiddled the knobs enough yet.

And for free, "Ambience" is the best free reverb I've come across yet, and it always gets good reviews.

    Cheers!
