Need a little help re-assigning my audio driver Saffire pro 40
The other Night as I finished a session, I mistakenly turned off my interface (like a moron) before I shut down sonar. I got the message asking if I wanted sonar to remember the settings or not and I thought I clicked the one so that when I started it back up, it would go back to normal... I didn't apparently. I have been poking around in edit>Audio Preferences but I can't seem to find whatever it is I need to reset to tell sonar to use my pro 40?

Just a guess, you could try renaming the AUD.ini in your {home directory}/AppData/Roaming/Cakewalk/SONAR X2 Producer. Then startup SONAR.

I guess I don't get it cause I have a Saffire Pro interface and on startup, if the audio driver is loaded, if no driver is detected, it will show a dialog and open prefs>audio to allow you to select a driver, which should show up as SaffirePro ASIO 1 or the like...if the wrong driver is loaded, you should see the saffire options in the in and out combo boxes.

Rename your audio.ini file as a backup and run X2. It should try to fine an audio device and write a new audio .ini file.

As a sidenote Chuck, in case you are unaware, ver 3 of the software (Mix Control) is on Focusrite's site. It's generally best to remove the existing software via add/remove programs, reboot and then install it. Leaving the installer to do the upgrade without uninstalling first often doesn't work nicely. Might be a worthwhile exercise to do uninstall/reinstall anyway if you are running version 3. Doesn't take long. Cheers....
