Thanks for the feedback.
This was the first time I used SD3 to 'create' percussion by using layers and the Step Sequencer, used EQ to sweep, cloned tracks, panned them for fuller sound, and experimented with a lot of plugins.
I really liked the Vintage Channel on both tracks and busses. The ProChannel too.
The bass line was an acoustic guitar dropped an octave. I recorded it too low I think, so applied some Boost 11, but was afraid of overdoing it. Need to re-record it.
I experimented with reverb, but always seemed to end up with too much 'wet' or too low a level, even with presets - have to revisit that.
Have a few pops and clicks in the acoustic guitar/bass track. I recorded those straight into interface (no mic) not sure what caused them. I have yet to optimize laptop setting for DAW though. (I do have wireless and anti-virus turned off.)
I exported to WAV using Pow-r 3 dithering - much better volume/wave form than my first project - and I used Audacity to make an mp3 - will cut that dead space.
Thanks again.
