Volume Envelope works but Expression does not

Can someone please help me? I've used the CC-11 Expression envelope successfully for years without any problems and now when I add an expression envelope in X1 it doesn't affect the output but a volume envelope does! I used the Insert Series Of Controllers command to force them in and that worked so it looks like X1 is just not converting the envelope into actual MIDI CC commands but IS for the volume? Can someone please tell me what controls this? Thanks!

Do you know for sure that the soft synth you're driving actually supports CC11? Not all do. CC11 is not strictly defined in the MIDI spec, so implementations vary.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thanks for the response! The MOTIF XS-7 simply costs too much to not support CC-11 plus I've done it before in previous versions. Although I can't just draw an expression envelope in track view and expect it to work like volume does, I can draw one in Piano Roll and then convert it to a track envelope after which it works and responds to node manipulations as expected. It's a work around but it'll do since Expresssion envelopes allow you to tweak track volume without re-drawing all the crescendos and diminuendos. Hope this helps someone else.

I use Philharmonik and it doesn't support CC-11 and it isn't cheap.
