Rebound Dubstep

http://soundcloud.com/jeff-baumet/rebound I recorded this in Ableton Live and then mixed it in sonar. It is an instrumental electronic piece and my first dubstep attept.

Interesting track.  I like the way you used different sounds while working around the basic theme.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Nice ever changing sound choices.  Like the hard panning - not that the instruments need any real separation but it certainly widens (pun intended) the differences.

    Sounds great.

Very cool use of different sounds on top of a funky beat.  It held my interest because of the clever arrangement.  Good job.

    All the best,

Hey jeff, if this is your first attempt at dubstep, then I'm interested in the 2nd!!  Great job!  I'm not a huge fan of dubstep, but I hear more talent in this piece than nearly all the rest I've heard.  Really nice selection of sounds.  Somewhat ambient.... ambient dubstep maybe?

Really good job.  Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers!

Thank you all.  tbosco, my oldest son has been doing dubstep for a while and I really like the style so I decided to play around with it.  It is really fun to work in this genre and I am working on setting up another now.  Just learning how to work my new D16 Group Phoscyon (roland 303 emulation)  If successful this one will be a blast.  Im working with stylus rmx to do some high energy drum tracks in a live performance.  Ill video the whole thing and post it here but if I am going to grab the performance I will have to do it in Ableton all the way rather than ableton to sonar for mixing.  We'll see if I can pull it off
