all things session drummer

just curious of a few things (yer I know I should know by now)

1) backward compat.. say I do some sfz's / progs in sd2 can they be used in SD3 also, without having to re-save out

2)I have to use sfz's for each element of the kit or I can do 1 that will map ALL notes ? (small sfz chunks make this messy)

3)I notice if i put in a wav at kik-35 it's the same as for 36 ? .. so only way to put 2 kik drums in ( 1 per note) is to use and sfz ? when I should just be able to use / select 2 wav's instead.. or is that a bug ?

seems cakewalk over complicated things, when there was no need to.

    1) Yes, I have used some of the SD2 kits that I purchased in SD3 no problem.

    2) Kits and Programs will load all pads at once. If you have one big sfz, you must load it into each pad. I seem to recall that SD3 will only load the parts it needs for each pad and ignores the rest. That let me load the SD2 sfz files unchanged into SD3 pads.

    3) Yes, SD3 only loads one sample per pad. If you want to load more than one sample, you must use sfz files.

2 and 3 are a waste of time to me (as I'm almost done doing the Dim Pro versions)... so just re-inventing the wheel.
