Show Velocity bug/corruption in Piano Roll View? (X2)

I can't get the velocity to turn off in piano roll view.  This started happening about a week ago.  Before that it was fine.
 
Now if uncheck notes-velocity, the velocity turns off.  But X2 doesn't remember this.  When I close and reopen PRV, the velocity is turned on.
 
This is a big deal for me as I do a lot of midi editing.  Makes X2 REALLY frustrating.
 
I found someone who had the same problem in X1 and apparantly CW was aware of it:

Anybody aware of a fix or why this is happening?

    I found a workaround.

    If I open the project in S8.5, resave, and reopen in X2 the PRV behaves properly again.  Of course all X1/X2 specific stuff is lost.

    Sounds like this was a known bug in X1?  Is it possible CW left known bugs in X2 w/o fixing them?

    yes, cake left known bugs in x2. there are known bugs in vsts as well. esp pentagon.
