help- can't finish a project.

ok I have seven tracks I want to take as a group put together and make a loop of these seven tracks.  This shouldn't be so hard but really is impossible to figure out. I have rebuilt this project, I have phantom tracks that won't show up on track view I got all sorts of problems and I have a deadline and I don'[t have time to figure all this crap out. I am making my own commercials and this needs to be done about three hours ago.  Can anyone get on my computer with me on the phone and walk through what needs done . this is a nightmare, there has got to be an easier way.  Randy

If you have deadlines to meet then you should have taken time to "figure out all this crap" a LONG time ago before venting your spleen and demanding answers.

Also, you've listed quite a bit in your signature but there is NOTHING there which could help anyone to diagnose your problem(s), if indeed there are any, other than your own making.

RTFM, do the tutorials and update your signature with your FULL systems specs - help us to help you.

Sorry, but I don't quite get the picture.

I have never played with loop creation so I may be in the wrong ball park here, as I don't even know if there is such a thing as multi-track loop that you can import into a player/loop editor.

Maybe what is required (or would be the easy way out) is bouncing the tracks to one audio clip to be edited in a loop editor and used as any standard  loop?

I assume what you're after is not just looping the tracks?

"Hidden tracks/hiding tracks" could have something to do with your "phantom tracks".

I agree with Jonesey that it's relatively fearless to accept deadlines before learning your tools first.

I got through the project- the biggest issue is working on this in little bits.  I worked on it before going into the office this morning and was able to break it down and get it out the door.  The problem is I am a musician for 44 years (I am 52) with a business I run with my wife and an assistant.  I would love to record, write, produce, play etc however till our kids are raised (11 and 7) there is no way I can even begin to allocate any time to figuring this stuff out.  I am doing my own radio ads, it is nice, some nice material.  I am learning but it is bits and pieces on weekends.  The radio ads are nice but really aren't doing the work of running my business.  I have yet to see after spending about 1,000$ if it is even worth it.  It is a fun and very fulfilling project- In a way it is worth it but paperwork, phone calls, appointments, and prospecting (if I ever have time for that) is the priority.  Sorry for venting.  I was just frustrated that I couldn't get all the tracks to go to one place (like a bus) to then make a loop with the portion of the mixed track that I wanted to use.  It takes a lot of patience.  Thanks for everyone's patience.

Being a pert time musician is hard enough without also holding down a full time job.
I think I would have done what Kalle suggested; bouncing the 7 tracks to 1 track, then looping that 1 track.
And Jonesey's right, too. If you'll put your computer specs and which Cakewalk program you're using plus your audio interface in your signature, that will go a long way to us helping you. We won't have to keep asking what they are every time you have a question.
    Good luck!
