Best Music Hosting?

I have a bunch of old original songs that I currently have available for download on my own web site.

They've been there for years and I want to move them to a music hosting site where more people might get access to them.

I am looking for the best hosting place. I notice several of the latest posters use soundcloud but wonder the pros/cons of various sites. There are so many.

We're also gearing up to write some new songs so eventually we'll have more.

Any feedback on hosting sites would be great.

Thanks

All the sites have their pros and cons....  bit rate limitations, file size limitations.... especially on the free accounts.

getting more people to listen.... well that is the mystery of the ages.

I'd say, have a look at the more popular ones, and then pick one.

Drop Box is another site you can use. I don't think it has size or rate limitations and it's free.

Thanks, yea I understand the "getting people to listen" and I'm not too worried about that.

I'm to the point in my career where I not sure I care if anyone listens, but I do have some friends and other people who "want" to hear some times and it would be nice to give them a place they could go search.

Sometimes when  I try to tell them to go to my site, they don't remember or can't find it for whatever reason.

If you're curious, you can go here for now.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I haven't really had much experience with others but I like Soundcloud. It's easy to upload, works very well if you want to share it on Facebook, Twitter etc, the visual style is (IMO) pleasing and professional looking and it's free up to a point
