Recording in Sonar X1

I bought X1 a while back but have just begun trying to record some rough track with it. I'm having an issue with the sound being choppy upon playback. I am assuming that the problem has to do with an input setting. Can anyone lead me in a direction to find out why this is happening? Thank you. Steve

If you check the manual/help file there is information about setting Sonar up.

It will tell you, amongst other things, that you may need to increase your buffer size, found in Preferences (Press "p", under "Driver settings").

It is  probably best if you list your DAW's specs (Interface, processor, etc.) in your signature (see mine) so people can offer the most relevant advice.

Welcome to the forum, by the way..

It is most definitely due to your lack of a proper sound card OR you have a proper sound card, but have not installed the up to date drivers and set it up properly using ASIO or WDM driver modes.

Or it could be that your pc doesn't meet the requirments OR it can be both of these things. But without any more info on your set -up, that's about all i can say
