Shorten my song

Hello ,  I have a song that has a 4 second gap, pause, silence that I need to get rid of.    Now, I could move each clip back 4 seconds individually,  but that's a lot of tricky manoeuvring as there's 18 clips  to move.  Is there any I can block move all tracks ? .  Thanks.

    Yes, if you select all the clips, you'll be able to move them all at once.

    Thanks Scott, I have and love the book, but I can't see how select all clips over ten tracks at the same time.

    Go to the lower right corner and Click Drag (Lasso) up to the top left corner in track view when zoomed all the way out.

    Once they are highlighted, drag to the left

    There is a keystroke or something to select all I just dont remember it
    Lasso works fine and fast for me

    Hi Danny,

    Thanks very much! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the book.

    What Mike suggested should do the trick.

    One thing to keep in mind though is lassoing is different depending on what version of SONAR you're using. If it's X1, then click/drag with the left mouse button. If it's X2, then you need to use the right mouse button.

    Ctrl+A will work as well if it's all clips you want to select.

    Remember you can also set an absolute nudge setting to the time required and do it with a keypress if dragging is proving problematic.

    That's in Prefs-->Customization-->Nudge in X2 (Snap & Nudge in X1 IIRC)

    Bear in mind that this method won't slide any Tempo Changes, Meter/key changes or automation envelopes back.

    You'll need to enter some dummy data in the existing gap, then select ALL, highlight the range you want delete in the timeline, select Edit > Delete and make sure Delete Hole is checked.

    This will move everything back
