Just show Console View
Is there a way I can just show the console view full screen. In 8.5 I just pressed F2 and had a full screen mixing desk. I don't seem to be able to find a way of doing this in X1. I have to manually reduce the Track view size to show more mixing desk. It's workable but doesn't really flow for me. I know there is a short cut to show the console view but it just appears below the track view, it doesn't come up full screen with no track view. Any ideas or workarounds? Thanks guys.

You can also freefloat the CV and maximize it. This works better with 2 monitors though. Steve

If you want a total, full-screen Console view, do this... (I'm assuming you have all the default panels open)... 1. With the Console view already open in the MultiDock, press Shift + D to maximize the MultiDock. 2. Press B, C, I to close the Browser, Control Bar, and Inspector. 3. Press F11 to put SONAR into Fullscreen mode. 4. Save this setup as a Screenset. You can now switch to this Screenset at anytime to show nothing but the Console view. Scott -- Scott R. FastBikerBoy Shift + D to maximise/restore - D to show - hide Shame, shame on you FBB! This is the ideal time to talk about, shall I say it, SCREENSETS! One key press and problem solved.

daveny5 So how do I save the Screenset without the Screenset module showing? You don't save screen sets. They are per project only. They are saved with the project. If you want to use the screen sets from one project in another you should have the module visible so you transfer them. You have to have both projects open to do that.

You can save screen sets. As mentioned in the other thread you can customize your templates with your ideal screenset views which will then be standard across all your projects. To modify them without the screenset module showing you can create a Keyboard shortcut. I set lock/unlock screenset to the tilde (~) conveniently next to the selection row. Hit the number of the screen set you want to modify, make the changes, hit ~ to unlock it, hit the number again to update changes, then ~ one last time to lock it.

daveny5 So how do I save the Screenset without the Screenset module showing? You don't need to save them as such, every change is automatically saved unless you have the screenset locked in which case changes aren't saved. You can copy one screenset to another slot by pressing ctrl + the screenset number key. Screenset control can also be accessed from the "Views" menu where there is a "Screenset" sub menu. As to moving them between projects, as already pointed out saving them as part of a template will make them available on every new project and importing them from an existing project will load them into the current one. I have several sets saved in "Screenset Dummy" projects ready for import into others if needed. To create a dummy project though you will need at least one track in them to be able to switch between screensets. It's also possible to filter which screensets are imported. To do that lock the screensets in the target project you don't want imported, they will be left alone while others are imported. I'm with Kenneth, more of 'em please CW - oh and the screenset manager/library I've FR'd.

OK Thanks. Yes, I want one set to share between projects. I like to keep it simple.
