Reprise
Here's another little ditty from Short & To The Point: Reprise Again, this was recorded in 1979 on a stereo analog tape recorder. Comments are welcome, but I don't think there is much I can do with it at this point. Thanks for listening.

I enjoyed hearing this song. There is kind of a nostalgic feel to this song that brings back memories.

nice one Jan - I agree with Marcus - it has the feel of a sixties protest song.

Thanks guys. This one and the other songs I'll be posting aren't quite that old--but close to it.

This is very well recorded and quite noise free for an old analog tape. Did you use noise reduction? I look forward to hearing the next offering.

daryl1968 Jan - I didn't mean the sixties thing was a bad thing - it's cool mate I didn't take it as a bad thing, Daryl. The song was written around 1978. It's been around for a while. Protest songs were probably an influence back then.

It's been a while since I did the transfer to digital and the mastering. I have BIAS' Sound Soap and may have used it, but I don't remember if I had it then and I don't specifically remember using it on this project. It was a roundabout process because the tapes and the old Grundig reel-to-reel are back in New Jersey. I transferred from analog to ADAT and ADAT to the hard drive. I had to use what was available.

Very nice - as you say a shame that you can't do more with it, but at least you still have it to listen to. All of my old band / pre pc recordings were stolen when my house was broken into years ago. The most annoying thing was that whoever stole them probably chucked them away afterwards once they realised what they were as they were pretty much worthless to anyone else.

Sorry to hear about that, Paulo. Thanks for your kind words on our track.
