btw: in my whole life as a windows user i NEVER had the feeling that ANY of those registry cleaners was of ANY use ...

and why use any other defrag tool (which per se is also questionable) that the one supplied by windows itself?

its all a hoax in the end ;-)

registry cleaning and defraging is so 1990 - lmfao

I've read plenty of articles which claim that registry cleaning and defragging has absolutely no benefit whatsoever and in fact can do more harm than good. So why do people do it?

its like those people who have hydrocolons because they think they have hamburgers that are 4 yers old stuck in their butt - its just a sort of "dumbness" - hahahaha

ps: there are always some guys making money out of other peoples misconceptons or fears - that also applies to computer registries - cos - beware of your registry getting moldy - your windows could get obstipation.

I wouldn't touch those utils in the first post with a stick (sorry!).

Windows 7 defrag perfectly fine, you do not need another util.

cc-cleaner is a good registry cleaner but regular use should be discouraged.

    Here are some other utils.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb545027.aspx

Note Microsoft has not released an update to PageDefrag for a while, probably for a good reason, defragging you registry should be discouraged, I fail to see any major performance benefit. Leave it alone.
(confirmed, since XP the system takes care of itself).
