Combine MIDI Clips?

is there a way to connect 2 MIDI clips into 1, like u can with audio clips and bounce to clips?

Hi, Scott. Slight threadjack but I wanted to make a request for X2 Power if you are still working on it. Could you maybe go into more depth on all the Export options and their uses? Looking forward to its release. Cheers.

i tried that.  for a second they combine and look unselected, but then uncombine and both clips are back to both being selected.

Hmmm... looks like it might be a bug. What if you drag the clips to a new MIDI track and then try combining them?

Thanks, Scott. Just more about the Source Category options and perhaps a little more detail on what all the other options like the "Mix Enables" section does (although to me now I have a good grasp of what that stuff does but wouldn't have a few months ago). Yanno... just a little extra meat and examples of where and why you would change these settings. 

For myself personally though it's the Source Categories that are tripping me up a little. The other day I went through the mixdown process as described in that chapter and ended up with something very different mixwise than what was intended. I was using "Entire Mix" which I guess because I had busses and sends in the project led to certain things being louder and I'm assuming because of some panning I had done certain things almost disappeared. Eventually with a bit of help from the forum I ended up selecting the Monitor Outs setting (or whatever it's called... I don't have my DAW on right now). It created two different files one of which was the stereo mix I intended. Not sure what the other one was as I didn't check it but I think it might have been the ADAT our or something. Anyway it was a little confusing as I'm still pretty new to all this. Also there is the other setting of All Busses or something which I'm assuming is how you would create "stems" so that be something that might be good to discuss and more fancy export topics like how to select certain elements of the mix while omitting others.

It's a little hard for me to put into words as... well I need to learn more about this stuff but I'm sure you see what I'm getting at. I frequently turn to X1 Power when I get stumped and generally have a solution rather quickly for general issues but that one chapter just seems a little sparse unless you are doing a very basic export. By no means is this a complaint but just a suggestion from a reader. Obviously exporting is a very crucial part of the process and somewhat confusing so I think it might be worthwhile to linger on the topic a bit more. I can't speak for others but it would certainly benefit me.
