Notnat Thanks For taking the time to hear the song

old55 Thank you It was a quick mix with 6 guitar parts.

chasmcg Thanks for commenting. I listened to your song today and i really enjoyed it. I hope you post more!

eko I think the last one was better too. This one had 6 guitar parts and I used two tracks to record each part. Sometimes less is more. but when writing a song it takes you where it takes you. Thank you for listening and commenting.

I've been enjoying these recordings that you've putting out.  This is no exception.  Was this done with your AKG c1000?  If so, I may pull mine out of the locker and try it on something.  I always liked that mic.

    All the best,

Lynn Believe it or not this one was done with an AKG perception 200. Which I owned before I purchased the AKG c1000 s. I seem to be getting better results from the c1000. I am currently working on a bunch of songs. fortunately for me they are all solo guitar pieces, or a song with 2 guitar parts.

This song has 6 guitar parts on 12 tracks. Instead of recording Stereo I am recording two mono tracks per guitar part. One left and one right. This Gives me greater flexibility when panning and it creates the full sound you hear. This is a good approach for solo guitar songs. It works well for Solo Acoustic Piano too.

I probably would not use this approach with a full production song. A song with drums bass and other instruments would require me to take a different approach.

    Thank You for listening

Hey Marcus, very nice tune.  Your friend Pete is excellent, as was the acoustic sound.  What guitar and mics are you using to record this?
