Just Awesome old55. Your music just tends to sound so familiar to me. It has a real vintage feel to it.

Thanks, Marcus.  After I finally transferred the songs to digital and listened to them.  There is a nostalgic element for me--but they seemed to hold up pretty well, too.

    Hi Old55,

Very nice! From 1979, too...cool to have these sort of aural pictures. Especially when they sound like this.

Jan, I had forgotten that these short songs are from old tapes of the 70's.  In which case, these are excellent recordings that are well preserved from that era.  I have tons of 8-track reel to reel tapes and cassettes from that ere, but they are in no condition to save.  Thank you for sharing this.

    All the best,

Thank you, Lynn.  I was lucky that these tapes survived.  I didn't do anything to preserve them either.  They just sat in a closet for years.  Are you sure you can't salvage anything from your tapes.  A friend of mine occasionally get old tapes to restore.  I don't know the whole process, but he puts them in the oven and bakes them before he puts them on a tape deck.  I didn't even know that was an option when I did mine.  Good thing they didn't need it.

No I don't know Dana. I had a similar experience with a girl that singed on my songs in the 70's and I did track her 6 month ago but she isn't really in the singing mode any more to make a long story short.

I wonder how many stories like that are around--and how many songs have they inspired?  Dana still sings--but I suspect not as often as she'd like.

I didn't seriously expect you knew her--but with the internet making the world so much smaller, I had to ask.
