Cover of The Tea Party- Psychopomp with a Pro on Drums

                           Here`s a new one I got to do and had the pleasure of gettin my best bud Brian Doerner (Refugee, HELIX ,Ray Lyell and the Storm & SAGA) doin drums on.

I can't believe that I've never heard this song before because it is KILLER!  I liked both versions, but I favor the second because it had more "gravity".  This is first class all the way, and I'll be listening again several more times.

  That is some top notch drumming there. The vocals are also well done here. Maybe this is an intended sound effect but I picked up some kind of what sounded like a TV interference at the beginning mainly on the right channel. It may have carried though but was masked thoughout the rest of the song.

 Nice work!

Hi Starise, Yup you are correct I tried to recreate all the effects that were on The Tea Party`s Original track from the cd and yes it was Tv interference at the beginning and I used it at the end too and a video game effect near the middle.

Nicely done.  Excellent production - the vocals are a little behind, but that is the style, I imagine (not familiar w/ the band).  But separation is good.  Oh, and I like the song.

I'd be a drummer if I had more time.  The drums sound great!!  I haven't heard this song and thought it was a bit wierd in the beginning but it really came in.  Your vocals are great!  All the instrumentation fits nicely, Mr. Midimaster.  maybe my favorite vocal of yours.

Thanks Warren....I`m shocked at the amount of people that don`t know The Tea Party...They have a lot of great songs... Yeah it`s nice to have brian on the drums. we recoded the drums at his drum studio with an overhead mic and 1 mic beside the drum throne at his knee level. He`s been playing proffesionally for over 30 yrs.
