Concrete Limiter (Nov 16 sale)

Has been on sale for over 5 hours. Surprising that no one has mentioned picking it up. There was a bit of interest in it when the PC2A was on sale. Thanks for putting it on sale, I got it.

I almost pulled the trigger on the PC4K Gate/Expander and the PC4K Channel Compressor last night.
Definitely glad I went to bed instead, saved me 50%!

Well worth getting.  Great on bass and drums.

I've used it on other things, too.  Twelve string guitar, for example.  And on master bus.

No thought process here, been waiting for the CL to go back on sale. I had to complete the set.

Yeah. I kind of was too. I think this would have been a better purchase for my purposes than the PC2A but alas... the well is dry. That's why I'm trying not to think about it.

They both have their place. You know it probably won't be the last time it goes on sale.

Yup. Maybe next time. It seems it goes on sale quite often. Cheers, dude. Hope you've been well.

Oh and speaking of the PC2A I just posted a tune in the songs forum that I used it quite liberally on if you wanted to check it out. It is quite a nice tool.

I saw the CH and songs post. I will check it out. Did you ever remix the 2nd one?

Not yet. I'm letting that one sit until I'm in my new studio room. I'm actually going to completely rerecord it at some point anyway but I do want to try out some different stuff with the current version for practice. Cheers, man.

Hey if it's buyer's remorse we're talking about Beepster then get this: I drunk-purchased the PC2A leveler without realizing that I already have Native Instrument's VC2A as part of Komplete Ultimate. And I mean they're essentially the same thing. I really didn't think I'd ever be the kind of person who would buy a plugin without realizing that I didn't need it, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I'm digging the Concrete Limiter. Pretty handy for single instrument tracks.

    LoL -

Anybody have any opinions on them, I use IK T Racks mostly (I have the full package), is it worth splashing out on the PC4K gate/expander and/or channel compressor.  There is a lot written about the concrete limiter but i have seen less ablut these two.

Yeah, I was waiting for CL to go on sale, so I'll snag it too.
I was going to get the S-type comp but I noticed I already had it .

    I went from 8.5.3 -> X1 (base) -> X2  ...I didn't think the S-comp came with X1 base (or X2 for that matter).
Since the U-type fires up in the channel on a new track - when you go and add another module, S-type doesn't show up.
    (that's understandable since ~normally~ you don't have 2 comps on a track).

However, when I delete the U-type from the PC, then add a module, both U & S channel comps show up as options.
...as does the Replace Module  - can swap them out.

Obviously I missed something as I was enjoying the scenery whilst on the upgrade path....

The S-Type Compressor that comes with X1 and X2 is the S-Type Bus Compressor. The one on sale is different. It is the S-Type Channel Compressor. It was included for a little while as a bonus with the X1 Production Suite.

I really like the Concrete Limiter and use it quite frequently on Bass and Drums or other tracks to tame rogue peaks.

The only module I'm missing is the Gate/Expander.  Don't know that I would use it much.  Maybe if they have a BIG sale on it.....

    Cheers!

I'm not a fan of the s-type compressor, i use the gate/expander frequently. The PC2a gets use from me. Out of the bunch the s-type comp is my least used.
