TOTALLY SCREWED !

It been two days of total hell trying to get my Addictive drums installed and working , I finally got help off their web site and updated all my account information and new computer plus now they require you to use their online installer instead of using my disk and that sucks because it doesn't work after it installed all the files in my VST plugin folder in Sonar Home Studio 7 XL and in Project 5 .

I'm so pissed off now , I'm going to have to shop for a different drum software product and fork out two or three hundred more dollars and that sucks !

All this uninstalling & reinstalling and everything else I tried has been a big waste of time so I'm totally calling it quits trying to install Addictive drums on my new PC .
Anyone want to buy my copy for $60.00 , it sells for $179.00 on their web site ?

I wanted to start recording a new song this week-end but thats not happening after all this crap I just went through , I'm totally burned out over this !

Any suggestions on another drum software ?

James

I have Studio Drummer and Abbey Road 60's running under Kontakt 5. If I could do it over I'd go with BFD2. I've tried the demo and it sounds great while being very flexible. There's lots of threads about picking the ultimate drums. Good luck on the hunt, but grab the BFD2 demo and give it a whirl.

I do have Steven Slate drum software but you need a MIDI device to trigger all the drum kits in the software like a midi keyboard or some type of electronic drums .
I was using my addictive drum software to trigger the drums but now thats out , my only fix is to use my old PC to create a drum track with Addictive drums and then save to a wav file and save that to a flash drive or DVD-RW disk then transfer it over to my new PC and Project 5 but hell thats more work then its worth at this point because I removed my soundcard from my old computer and installed it into the new computer .
I would have to buy a cheap soundcard for the old computer with addictive drums on that hard drive in Project 5 to get sound .

Thanks I'll checkout the other drum  software programs out there and see what I can afford , next month I plan on buying this Electric Strum software for $200.00 . Its the best electric guitar software out on the market for keyboard players , the things and sounds you can create is the coolest stuff I have ever heard and I want to buy that software in the next two weeks .
After that then I will have to start saving for our move to Tennessee and then once we get there I can start looking at buying some drum software .

I'll think of something as a work around , maybe work on creating some electronic music using drum kits in Project 5 .

    Thanks -James

As a lower cost solution, BFD Eco is probably the best value for money and covers a wide range of styles.

If you want to spend a bit more and like to tweak your drum sounds Toontrack Superior Drummer or the full BFD will give you the maximum versatility

For the best sounds, straight out of the box with minimal tweaking - Steven Slate Drums. (IMHO)

However I can't help but think that your problem with Addictive Drums is solvable. Some system specs would help people suggest possible causes and solutions. I suggest a new post with all the details on the software forum may be better, this will get burried under super freds etc down here.

Toontrack EZ Drummer is always an option.

I'm still not understanding your AD problem.  Maybe it's too early in the morning.  My brother went thru hell to get his reinstalled when he got his new computer last month, but a couple of telephone calls to AD got the problem solved.  Have you called them?

    Cheers!

Sorry for the slow reply I have spent the last day or so day and night trying to get my Addictive drum software up and running and today I finally manage to do just that where its works just like it did on my old PC in Project 5 .
Their new online Installer is what cause all the issues , man I'm so burnout trying to get that working .

Maybe now I can start on something new , time for shower and dinner and maybe a restful night away from my computer working with all this .

Thanks for all your suggestion , now I don't have to spend more money YEA!
