OMG Not again!!!!!
Seriously, there is no excuse for a sequencer app to still have these type of sync issues in 2012: My newest project. How do I avoid these issues?

Check the image I updated it with. So, the picture shows what I always seem to run into. I run into these sync issues where the clips are not all matching up on the measure lines.

I think you're assuming that "we" know what you're talking about.

You're not being clear here. Some things that would be helpful to know in addition to just having a screenshot:
1. Which clips are you expecting to be in sync? 2. Did you record all those clips at the same start time (example: multi-tracked drums)? 3. Are you sure you didn't do any editing to the clip start times after the fact? 4. What were the steps you followed to create the issue? 5. Can you reproduce the issue?

I never have anything selected less then a 1/4 note and the pictured scenario occurs when I copy and paste clips. The clips are trimmed exactly by the snapped measure.

Are you sure you have "snap to" selected as opposed to "snap by"?

Yup, it's set to "snap to" measure. Sorry, for being obscure with this, but I can't seem to be able to explain it in words. So here is what I was trying to show in the screenshot. The cursor/playhead is set exactly to the measure, tracks 1-3, 5, 8, 12, and 17 all seem to be off, behind, by something between 49:01:000 and 49:01:001. I just want it to snap to these markers if it's set otherwise I just can't count on the sync.

check the groove vlip properties and make sure the length is an even number of beats.

foucokoyouousonar Buy a reel-to-reel. Faq digital. Digital is crap. I wish I could afford analog.. but since gai as digital chinese crap rules the day I can't buy anything that works anmore because it's too expensive. Stop buying Sonar, pro tools, or any digital crap and let analog make a return at a lower price when the compitition of digital is squashed. seriously... STOP IT. BUY ANALOG. This crap isn't worth the ones and zero's. Do you do kids parties as well?

Ok, so, I figured it out after an afternoon of frustration. The fact is, Sonar lets you zoom in so far that you will see the smallest ticks off and that is what I'm seeing. It's not really off enough to matter, the sync issues I could hear were actually found in a kick drum track that was off because the grove sync is not reliable. I fixed the problem by taking a single one-shot kick sample, pasted it 3 times so it was a measure with 4/4 on the floor and then bounced to new clip. Then pasted that multiple times. Reproduced the original visual issue of the screenshot, but still had perfect sync. So Done, issue closed. Here is the feature request for cakewalk: either limit the amount you can zoom in or make the clips align directly to the line.

Have I woken up in an alternate universe this morning? First thread I've read is by someone who wants analog back. I think - it'd hard to know amongst all the ranting. This one seems to be referring to something I can't see and therefore do not understand. Perhaps I'd better go back to bed and/or take some meds.

British Warship "Mayday Mayday, we're sinking!" German Warship "Hmmm... Vat are you szinking about?..." Applies to clips as well.
