Looking for a compressor with hi pass and low pass filter side chain sweeps.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some compressors with hi pass and low pass side chain sweeps. Any suggestions?

FabFilter Pro-C. HPF and LPF on the side chain, as well as Mid/Side and pan. There isn't much that compressor can't do.

Just out of curiosity...as VST3 plugs get their sidechain from another track, why not insert the EQ in that track?

What he said.  If need be you can copy the side chain source to a second track and EQ it any ways you want - old de-essing trick too

I've sometimes fallen back to that old-school method in order to mitigate some especially nasty sibilance. It works quite well, even if it's a bit of a hassle to set up. But if you ever need to "de-ess" or "de-pop" more than one frequency band, it can be worth the effort.

I'd add FabFilter's sophisticated de-esser to my collection if it weren't so durn expensive. For now, good ol' Pro-C does the trick for 99% of my filtered-sidechain needs. Plus 99% of my other compressor tasks, too. It's a real workhorse.
