I don't even want to remember the amount of times I've typed out my email address and sent it to someone from that same email address.

All I know is that at some point I will do it again.

    Why do we do it?

It must be the generation we were born into.  My kids tease me mercilessly for doing stuff like that.

I do it 'cos I'm a know nothing low life that hasn't got the intelligence, time, or inclination to work out if my interface latency time is off by 3 samples or not  little bit crazy or just getting old.

Like the sketch on one of the Monty Python records. John Cleese "walks" from the left speaker to the right. "Here I am if your stereo's working. If not, see me afterwards."
