Is it possible it simply moved off the screen? If that is the case, the scroll lock key will toggle between following the 'Now Time' and letting you control the screens focus. This is useful for modifying envelopes (adding nodes and adjusting curves etc either before the now time has reached a particular position or (more likely) after the now time has passed. Once you click on the envelopes, Sonar immediately presumes you no longer want to follow the now time and leaves you where you are to make your edits while continuing the play back. Stopping and restarting playback or toggling the scroll lock key should do the trick. I've read something about clicking in the time ruler but every time I do that the now time moves, so I can't advise there.

I make some videos.
This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
