Sonar/Kontakt max midi volume question

I just got Kontakt recently and am trying to get to grips with it in Sonar. One thing I've noticed is that if I use the midi volume slider in Sonar itself (e.g. in the track view or console view) and take it to the maximum (127) the corresponding volume slider for the same instrument in Kontakt only goes halfway to its maximum (which is labelled as -0.0 in Kontakt). Each instrument in Kontakt can actually go to 12.0 but I'm not able to access that maximum level using the midi sliders or automation envelopes. Do I need to change a setting somewhere so I can take instruments to max levels using Sonar's faders?

Note to self: do a proper search before asking questions as soon as they occur! If anyone's interested I found the answer: Kontakt/Wrench Icon/Instrument Options/Controller tab/Change 'midi controller #7 (volume) range' to 12db. Now I can go 1 better than Spinal Tap ;)

James - thanks for your note to self. That's a good reminder / tip. Appreciated!

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
