Phase 90
Just an update.
I recorded some audio. Then sliced the end from it so it was four beats in length. I then applied groove clip lopping and the clip was stretched to 6 and half bars and is now slower.
Why is this happening?
I'm not sure what is happening in your first post, but this is fairly normal for Groove Clips.
I'm guessing you meant 4 measures?
The Groove Clip algorithm attempts to guess how many beats are in a clip, and it almost always guesses wrong, especially if you are not using the metronome.
If you have selected a clip that is 4 measures at 4/4, we know this will be 16 beats.
When you open the loop Construction View, it probably shows something like 28 beats.
Change the Beats In Clip value to 16, and the clip should line up properly.
It's all about the time reference embedded in the Groove Clip.
What you end up with needs to be the same as what you started with. More often than not, this requires some adjustment.
