Re-sizing of buses possible?

Heya

I'm a newbie to DAW's and stepped straight into the deep end by purchasing X1 Producer (now upgraded for free to X2). I'm finding it a little difficult to get my head around but i'm getting there ;) I'll stop rambling and get round to asking the question!

I have found the way to narrow the bus strips in the console view (i have limited screen space on a laptop) but i'm wondering if i can half the actual size (height) of the buses without chopping there tops of? It seems although i can re-size the windows of the console/track view etc, it doesn't help with the viewing of the contents of the window which doesn't re-size, they just lose most of the information they display if you get my meaning.

Can anyone tell me if i'm missing something obvious please (i quite often do lol) or if this can even be done. I have noticed i can setup screensets but, if possible, i'd much prefer to just have smaller buses etc so i can fit them neatly on my screen.

Thank you in advance

to see more with x2, I hide the control bar by pressing c and go full screen with f11. scroll upand down with the scroll wheel. there is no way to zoom the console view in x2.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

No, you can't shrink the vertical height of anything in Console View. You can of course show/hide individual modules via the "Modules" Dropdown - just hide the ones you're not interested in and save it as a screenset for greater flexibility

Thank you very much for the replies gswitz & bristol jonesey, i shall try the "Modules" drop down and see if i can't squeeze it all in!

To be honest, i was trying to go for a more of a Live 8 screen feel (i hope that's not a swear word on these forums xD). I've been trying a demo of Ableton to help me learn the ins & out of a DAW a bit easier since, as a newbie, i find it's help/tutorial system very easy to follow compared to Sonars more technical approach (ie. "what's bus mean, better go look it up" haha) and then transferring the knowledge learnt back into Sonar X2.

After some more playing about with Sonar all night, swapping screens isn't so annoying as i thought it would be (still wish i could shrink the matrix down though ;))

Anyways, I'm rambling again!! Thank you for you help :)
