Any compatibility issues with Waves V9 64-bit and Sonar X1/X2 64-bit/Win7-6

Waves has the Diamond bundle on sale for $999. Are there any compatability issues with Waves V9 and Sonar X1-X2 64-bit on Win7?
I am getting a new system built by ADK which is a 64-bit Win7 machine with Sonar X1 Expanded being installed. My last PC was Sonar Pro 8.5.3 on WinXP (32-bit.)
On my last system, I had purchased the S1 Stereo plugin, and had problems running it as VST in 32-bit 8.5.3. The plugin gui would not show up when loaded (just the outline/borders of the plugin). After diggin around the forums, I saw that Waves plugins, at the time, had issues with Sonar. In particular, I had to open some sonar *.ini file and modify some numbers. And then I remember having to turn off X-ray or something like that. Then I saw that Waves was not 64-bit at that time (it is now).
So ultimately, are there any issues now with stability, or the graphical displaying of the plugs in X1 or X2? Is there any 64-bit issue? I assume I will not have to jbridge the 64-bit plugs now. Is there an issue with the whole VST2 vs VST3 hoopla? I don't even know if Waves 9 is VST2 or VST3 or compatible with either or. Can you guys/gals confirm Waves 9 usage (64-bit) on X1? And as a second preference 32-bit Waves 9 in X1/X2 (32-bit) in the rare cases I would run that way. Thanks in advance for your time and replies.

Sincerely,
JAB3

Please don't flame me. Bump. Really excited about potentially grabbing the bundle if it's compatible.

No problems here running Waves 9 plugins with Sonar X1 / X2 64-bit.  All Waves plugins have been rock-solid in their operation, in my experience.

Sonar's VST3 limitation will prevent you from using the sidechain feature in Vocal Rider, although it still works by autoleveling a track without compression.  I don't know of any other issues related to Waves/Sonar compatibility.

I assume you've checked the discounts at audiodeluxe.com, plugindiscounts.com, and wavesuniverse.com -- generally they have the best prices for Waves stuff.

    Cheers,

Are audiodeluxe.com, plugindiscounts.com, and wavesuniverse.com legit websites? I don't hear too many people mention them. And I am also curious how companies like Waves lets them function. I mean if the suggested sale price is $999 for something, and then these websites sell them for $750, then who is losing out?; Waves company or the discount suppliers? Who swallows the difference in price? I was always curious about this.

Have no fear of these websites ... they're all respectable outfits.  They discount the MSRP just as any retailer might do.  Competition is good.

I just bought a few things from AD this weekend, and have them up and running already.  Saved lots of cash, too!

Sidechain with example Vocal rider doesn't work in SONAR. Why? SONAR does not support VST3.
Today Waves support Native x64bit so that is great!

I have Waves Gold Bundle, Maserati Collection, Tapes, Tubes, & Transistors, NLS, and One Knob Louder.  All are V9, and all work great.

As Freddie stated, certain Waves Plugins rely on VST 3 for their Side Chaining ability, which X2 does
not support.  Only drawback that I'm aware of.

    I, personally, LOVE Waves Plugins...

I had a whole bunch of Waves plugins running in Sonar X1 without any troubles. Haven't installed X2 just yet though. I'm sure they'll be fine there too though.

I ran into a problem with the new REDD plugin demo. Works fine in X1 32bit but nowhere to be found in X2 64bit.

So I have installed them now and each & every one opened up just fine. [About 30]

But I haven't actually run anything through them just yet though.
