Did anyone manage to download the Waves OneKnob Louder freebie?

I registered with them, they said they would send me a link to the download within 48 hours as their servers were busy. So eventually they sent me a link to a page which tells me how to download it. I have to sign in first...but it won't accept the sign-in I registered. So I did a "forgot password" to check if my account is still there, and it says "we have no record of this email address."

Oh yeah? That would be the email address IT SENT THE LINK TO?

So there is no way in. Meanwhile, however, I am bombarded with all the wonderful Waves offers I could be spending money on!

Hmmm.

I didn't get the freebie even though I signed up for it. Not really upset as I'm overloaded with new stuff right now. I suspect that Waves was in overload for several days and there did seem to be a lot of glitches in their systems.

I decided to pass on the freebie. Not worth jumping through all the authorization hoops for a one-knob compressor that may or may not be occasionally useful.

May or may not! Apparently you haven't heard that there is an exponential relationship between the degree to which this knob is turned clockwise, and the number of records sold!

I think Bit is waiting to see how many Presets come with it before he would jump on it.

Exactly. If it doesn't have a "Pump" preset I wouldn't know what to do with it.

Anyone know which is the right way to turn it?

I know you said clockwise but you didn't say whether that would cause more record sales or prevent them.

I suppose it's a better question for upstairs.  Someone up there is bound to know.

I would just keep turning it in the direction in which record sales start increasing. Once sales start leveling off you will know you have turned enough.

Well, I've given up trying to load the free OneKnob Louder plugin. Their entire site is just a broken mess of perpetual circles, faulty log-ins and everything but the free plug. I've registered and followed all of the instructions on the site and the nearest I got was when it gave me the option of downloading a demo of the whole OneKnob series.

I guess along the way I've been exposed to lots of advertising for other full-price Waves products, so at least there's that.

Thing is with an FX chain you can put all your One Knob plugins under the control of one knob.

I wonder what they sound like all being turned up in unison.

NO BAPU, it's not a serious thought.

I like the part when he says he went to register and it says it can't find his email. The email they just sent him the link in.
