Search Backward

A very simple question, I can't remember where this option is. Part of the problem is I can't remember what this option is called. I do remember it's checkmark activated. The option I'm looking for is when you start playback, Sonar searches backwards for any events that start before the the place on the timeline where you started and plays the notes or effects parameter changes that occur just before the place you started. For instance, if a midi note starts before the place you on the timeline.
when you hit play, this option will look backwards and play that note for you. Or, if you have automated a parameter this option, when ticked, will find the parameter change that occured just before you started playback.
Thanks in advance!

Try Options in the Track View. "Set Now Time With Full Reset".

I have never seen the feature you're talking about.

Are you sure it's Sonar that does this?

In Preferences, under the Project - MIDI category... the option is called Patch/Controller Searchback Before Play Starts.

It's in my back pocket on a USB thumb drive with no backup. I hope I don't lose it!

Thanks all, and, of course, Mr. Garrigus! I was looking through my copy of Sonar X1 Power but, because I couldn't remember what it was called, I couldn't find it.
    Looking forward to X2 Power.
