MIDI Note out of Range - solved

I'm exporting a MIDI track to TAB and I keep getting this type of output for every note to the txt file:

MBT 5:3:0 : MIDI Note #8 out of range (pitch = G 2)

I'm using SFZ with this particular track. Anyone know how to fix this? Or what I'm doing wrong.

OK: So this is a bass track and I was cheating a bit. I'm using a four string sound font and I was setting some of the D notes below
the E. The font would play it OK, but TAB would show it out of range. I moved the Ds up an octave, regenerated the TAB, still wouldn't
export properly. I moved the entire bass MIDI track up an octave, regenerated the TAB, exported the TAB - works as expected.

My bass player will be pleased. :>)

Tkanks again to all who responded.

First I'm not sure of exporting midi to tab as how would it know which note in which position??, there is a couple of places you can play certain notes on a guitar.
G2 would be a very low note out of range for a guitar, I think it is the 3 fret of the low E on a Bass.

    Cactus,
You are correct sir! It is bass track. I might have a couple of notes below the low E on the track, probably D.
If this is the issue I wonder how a 5 string sound font would react. This happens to be a Will Lee 4 string font.

    Thanks,

Do you have a MIDI input device ( keyboard) ?
It would be a quick way to check the range of the samples.

Yes I do, but now that I think about it the TAB export function my not support notes below a certain point. This is a bass track, so I've probably got it an octave below normal. I'm going to raise all the notesw up an octave and see if that fixes it.

I think the only reason tablature export would care about any MIDI note value would be if there were two notes together that would be too far apart to physically play on a guitar. Maybe you've got a duplicate note in there?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
