Mouse Only Menus? Really? (duplicate, please ignore)
Has anyone figured out how to access the menus at the top of the Track View without using a mouse? Apparently, the menus will not bind to keyboard shortcuts, the items in them will, but that is too many items to remember! Frustrated! James

I know it's the holiday season, but I think you are supposed to CHECK your list twice, not CREATE it twice. Bob Bone

I was trying to feel bad about being a jerk... but it just wasn't happening. How can you effectively use such a complex program without an HID?

Well - I answered a bit in the other thread. He is referring to the Track Pane sub-menu drop downs, and there does not seem a way to get to those without clicking. I am a clicker - I learn shortcuts after awhile, but only for what I do frequently. It is kind of funny, there are underlined characters for the drop down menu options, just not a way to get to the drop downs without the mouse. Bob Bone

Hi all, Thanks Bob, for looking closely enough to see my problem. If no one else comes up with a miracle answer in a day or two then I'll just make it a feature request and keep my fingers crossed. I like using a keyboard for whatever I can use it for. I went blind for awhile and really got used to a keyboard. Now that I have recovered my sight, I still prefer it. For me, this question is a matter of principle (lol) You shouldn't hide things in an interface when you don't have to. I would imagine the product group could easily add these menus to the keyboard shortcut list if they wanted to, and that would avoid the focus issue. I will survive till then, however. James PS: Sorry 'bout the duplicate thread! IE9 hangs when I post to this forum, complaining that cakewalk.com is not responding. So thinking I had failed to post... I'm trying with Chrome this time, wish me luck!

I would suggest you edit the Title of this thread to indicate something like 'Ignore - Duplicate'. Bob Bone
