How many would like to see the Cakewalk FX2 Tape Sim plug-in upgraded to 64-bit?
If so - post a message here. I certainly would like to see this. Thanks for listening.

I would... And I'd like to see it along with the "FX" series - I miss the FX Reverb, Chorus, Flange and Delay.

I would, but I'm not hopeful. The only way it could make sense is if they re-did a series of their plugs for sale and then provided an upgrade path for current users. I'd like the VC64 channel strip to be overhauled. There's a lot of functions and it looks cool. The name is misleading as it's a 32 bit plug.

I´m using the TapeSim from Softube...not very often...I have to asume...;) But over all...I´m a bit ashamed about the situation in sonar x2...´cause everything´s is build around for an coming soon "App Store"...you have to pay for upgrades... If I have a look to Steinbergs C7 next week...Sonar x2 could have a very short time here in my project studio (I love it...but love should be cared), but with this "LE versions...you have to upgrade" politics or the non-existing 64bit versions for their good plug Ins... ...it should be better to upgrade my C5 to C7 with loads of good "full versions" and 64bit...

I wish they'd upgrade the tape sim because I love the sound but it just doesn't seem to play well with BitBridge, I get those nasty crashes where you just click on the ProChannel and everything freezes. I used to love Massey's free TapeHead plug in ProTools but unfortunately it's only RTAS. Wish they'd make a VST version.

Yes, the 32-bit configuration is a liability, and it is important to move forward to 64-bit on all plugs if you want stability, etc.

Actually, on closer inspection, it appears that the FX2 Tape Sim is a Direct-X plug-in. That does not bode well for its future development.
