Here We Are Today - a song for Thanksgiving

I meant to post this before the Thanksgiving holiday but I was out of town, and just couldn't make it happen...
I hope everyone had a great holiday...

The song was co-written and sung by Walter Wilson, and features Jeff Peacock on Sax... I used a "Take Six" Vocal Expantion patch in my old Roland XP-80 for the BGVs...
also used the XP-80 for the Rhodes EP part...

I split the signal from my Jazz bass, with a SansAmp DI, and fed the signals to the console, and  to my Ampeg Rocket Amp (mic'd with a Sure 57)...  The guitar parts were all played directly thru the SansAmp DI...

Very nice song about Thanksgiving.  It could be a seasonal classic as it represents the feelings of so many people.  The production, as always, is pure gold.  Well done, Frank!

    I don't get it.

This sounds fantastic Frank, beautiful production. Lovely sound on the sax in particular.

If I'm honest, I'd prefer to hear you sing it. Walter has a bit of a 'nasally' voice, which grated on me a little.

Really beautiful mix though, totally pro sounding.

You can have the first Thanksgiving song for 2013.  :)

I really like this.  I love Walter's voice.  And Jeff on sax. Of course all your magic doesn't hurt a bit either.  Nice!  :)

Thanks Ed... I love your latest... the serious one... seriously... great work ...

James, I know what you mean about the "nasally" sound of Walter's voice... I even mentioned it to him... I think he's mad at me now... Thanks for the great feedback...
