How to disable Auto Scroll Lock..
Help says "click in the background of the Clips pane to clear auto scroll lock." Where is the "background"? I currently have a maximized piano roll and can't seem to disable Auto Scroll Lock with a click. What am I missing?

I tried disabling it via the Scroll Lock Key but that works only sometimes. It appears that the only way to have a scroll is to use the keyboard. The feature is broken.

No it works but you need to select something for editing for the click scroll lock to work. Right click in the top half of the time ruler to start scrolling again.

That won't work for me. Also after tying Auto Scroll Lock I have to close and re-open the PRV for the Scroll Lock Key to work again.

That works for me as well. Try this: Move to the section of the time ruler where you see the new magnifying glass and arrow icon introduced in X2, and right-click. It should start scrolling again.

Grem Karl this is not working for me. When I edit midi notes it keeps scrolling. It did work. See my post here if you would. http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2727713 Tell me what I have done!! The lock scroll is an option set in the Track View--->Options--->Click Behaviour--->Left click locks scroll. If that isn't set the PRV won't scroll lock by clicking either.

Well it will not auto scroll lock for me when I am in PRV and I do any editing now. It did work that way when I first started doing this test. So I know I have done something. But it's just not getting through to mewhat I've done that everyone else has! Do I have it understood correctly: When in PRV when I edit midi data, it auto scroll locks?

Grem Do I have it understood correctly: When in PRV when I edit midi data, it auto scroll locks? That is how it works. As long as the option mentioned earlier is set, left clicking to select a note should lock the scroll until you right click in the top half of the time ruler, when scrolling should start again. Having said that I notice your sig says you are using X1. I'm not 100% sure that the PRV lock was in X1. The track view lock is but I can't remember whether the PRV lock is or not, I don't think it is but I no longer have X1 installed on this system so I can't check either. Perhaps someone else can check that.

Well Karl that didn't woprk for me. But I just installed Win8 on my old Vista machine. I'll have to re-install X2 to see what happens. Thanks for the help though.
