Audio dropouts with X2

I'm Having a bit of a nightmare with dro outs when swapping screen sets.  This happens a lot, especially when swapping between console and track view.

I've recently changed to windows 8  from windows 7 where I was having the same problem.

My configuration hasn't changed sice I was using X1 where it isn't happen ever. 

I have installed the quick fix but it's still the same. 


Any other thoughts at all?
