Hammond and Leslie
Hi I'm interested in what people use to get the Hammond and Leslie sound.... Er..... Without using an actual Hammond and Leslie. Cheers!

Just installed Kontakt player for demo purposes. It's a pity VB3 hasn't kept up to date with the 64 bit world because I like the look of that (wanna keep to a 100% 64 bit system ;). I better check those free Dimension Pro expansion packs as well... https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013208 Cheers...

I'm using SOnar Platinium on a 6 core Lynx Audio machine and a ton of vintage pre-amps/eq's/comps I build for fun and sometimes money, REDD.47/API/Neve I also use the UAD stuff, and also use a Macbook Logic 9 through Apogee...

It's probably worth making an exception for VB3. It's dirt cheap, sounds great - and works great (with jbridge anyway) with X2 64 bit. I wish it was 64 bit too - but I'm sticking with it for now...

bitman GSi VB3. http://www.genuinesoundware.com/ I checked this out and was blown away by the sound. If you haven't watched it, watch the video of Rafael Agostion from Brazil playing - the guy is a monster! He really takes the software through its paces. However, since I don't own VB3, I am using NI Classic Organs for my B3 sounds, and it does the job fairly well.

Beagle Kontakt Classic Organs which is basically a repackaged B4. Classic organs is not at all a repackaging. It is a sample based instrument. B4 was a not samplebased.

Can you go from "off" to "on" (rotating) with the mod wheel (or some other controller?) like VB3? I'd like to go "all 64 bit" myself - and the price is pretty good for this one ;-)

The Organ 3 has a complete MIDI control setup. The rotary can be controlled in lots of ways via CCs. Rotary speed is on the modulation wheel. I would DL the manual and check it out.

Pleasure. I really think it sounds very good, and I like being able to control the amount of mechanical noise. Apart from doing the standard sounds very well, it also has some pretty cool presets with delays and distortions for more creative sounds.
