DAW question

I would like to know who among you is using Reaper? I have a AKAI MPK49 that I have been trying to program it to work with Sonar software, but it has been unsusseccful, but that was not the case with Reaper. For My MPK49 and my Reaper are getting along just fine. And also, with Reaper you don't have to convert MIDI data to audio before boucing it to disk.

Sonar fas ACT, which allows you to program whatever midi control surface you wish.  I created my own for my Axiom 61 Pro, from Presonus, and it works just fine.  I would suggest you review the documentation and try again, and/or post some questions with more specificity on whatever issues this is causing you.  Folks here would likely try to help you get it going.

In addition, I never have had to bounce MIDI to audio prior to exporting my whole final mix in Sonar.  It processes the MIDI output's audio as it exports.

I use an MPK Mini which works fine with Sonar, so there's no reason why the MPK49 shouldn't play nice as well.

Not sure what you mean by this...
In Sonar, you don't have to bounce/freeze soft-synth tracks to audio prior to bouncing down a mix.

The problem is that, I was told that before your final project into a CD, you are supposed to convert your midi data to audio first (bounce that midi data to a new audio track), otherwise you won't be able to hear the midi part in your CD. That is was I have always been doing.
And Now, I found out that I don't have to do it. That's great!.

You do have to bounce if you have hardware external synths as midi devices.
Well I am pretty sure you do have to bounce as I don't know a way of doing it.
