Upgrading from Producer X1 to Producer X2

Upgrading from Producer X1 to Producer X2

Hey all, I've just seen Producer X1 online at a good price (£150). I was aiming to get Producer Suite but It's too expensive, and I won't be able to get the money before Christmas. I'm wondering whether this will allow me to upgrade to Sonar X2 Producer for free? (Regardless of who I buy it from?).

    Yes, it does not matter where you buy X1. You need to register X1 before the end of the year to qualify for the free upgrade to X2.

    Do you have to physically install X1 or can you Install X2 using a code or something from X1?

    There is no need to install X1. When you register X1 (which you can do without installing X1), the X2 version will appear in your Cakewalk store account. The X2 version is a complete version of SONAR and is not dependent on X1 in any way.
