Fun for all the Family.

A CH compendium of Party games for the holiday season perhaps?

We just developed a new one for us.

Carpet Dressage:

It's exactly like they do with the horses, except you don't need a horse or a paddock.  You become the horse and a goodly space of carpet becomes the paddock.

Devise a set routine, learn it, get the non-participants to judge the performance, then strut your stuff.  Take turns.  The winner is the one who gets the most points from the 'judges'.

We've just been trialling the idea at home and I swear my stomach is going to hurt for the next week from laughing.

Don't forget to video the proceedings and post them on YouTube.

I understand that there are areas where cross-dressage is practiced.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

    Dude ... duuuude ....

I cannot tell my wife about this althougy I know she'd love it if I did.

I'll be on the floor every night with her yelling, "Canter, not trot!".

She's got dozens and dozens of 1st place best in class ribbons for Dressage.

Im always the stable hand at the shows. And then, the wimmins get to know you after a few shows, and they start talking to you telling you to do stuff like you were their husband. It's almost cult like.

Then I have to video her. Then watch it with her at home, over qnd over and over again for the next three days, while she takes notes of every step her horse takes while muttering, "Oh that was bad, I would never have given him that high a score for that half canter. I have to get in touch with the trqiner this weekend."

Wnd bro ... the trainer just stands in the middle of the arenq and yells at the top of her lungs and when its all over she says, "That was ok, keep practicing."

All the while, all Im seeing through all of this, is the living eqivallant to a boat (Bust Out Another Thousand) walk in circles, and eventually come to q slow walk with its head down in the middle of the arena.

    Does someone actually have chestnuts?

(And would they really want them roasted if they did???)

    Oh I certainly do! :-)

Sometimes I'll mess with her while I'm shooting video of her ride. I'll whisper in to the mic, "And now Bob she's lined up for a Triple Lutz if she can complete a perfect Flying Change. She hasn't been able to pull this off since the 98 summer games. Can she do it? Can she do it Bob?!"
