Email tech support====non existant. CWBRN-10931

I saw the other thread but rather than hijack that one I thought I would create my own.

Long story short I submitted a problem report. A month later got not that I should contact tech support. Sent email to tech support...no response for over a month other than the automated reply.

A week ago I PM'ed a cake staffer Andrew and have not heard from him either.

Phone support is an option if I want to stay up all night (I am currently in the Phillipines).

I'm just venting now as I can't do anything in the studio anyway at the moment. We just had a big typhoon here and power is still not restored we are using generator.

Now I gotta post this and open IE to fix it....phhhttttttttt!

post is Fixed, tech support not so much.

It ain't much - but I played basketball in the Philippines back in the mid-90's.  I miss the Jeepney's, and those giant green mangoes. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Hang in there,

3 years and counting before they fix these forums for some browsers... Good luck with that record :-)

Perhaps if everyone submitting a tech support request would also copy & paste it (without any personal info of course) into a new post in the corresponding forum section here, it might be helpful.

Yeah, what does it say about a software company when their forum software isn't compatible with the most widely used web browser...

I generally refrain from this kind of berating of Cake but I have seen the public chastisement work before. However in my case still no response to my tech support email, the PM to Andrew or here on the forum. Sigh. By the way Goddard I really like the BS meter in your avatar.

I can make the forum work fine from a number of browsers, including my phone.

The few times I've needed assistance, I've gotten it quickly from Cakewalk.

    So, thanks from me.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I can make the forum work fine too. I just prefer to use FireFox. As long as I keep the posts short its not a problem.

It's not a matter of opinion here, and it's covered in so many threads - it does not work correctly in several browsers and it may even pose a security risk with cross-side scripting. This is a real issue for many people. Cake has not upgraded the software for several years after several pleas (they just ignore).

The issue is they need to upgrade the forums software ASPPlayground.NET (see link bottom of this page), once they do this it will work correctly in most if not all browsers. Case closed.

Well, hells bells, it's working just fine in Chrome. I wouldn't give you a wooden nickel for Internet Explorer, Safari, or Opera though.

I think that cake does not host the site themselves. It is probably part of a package deal running on virtual machines with amazon of whoever does the hosting.

Cakewalk's phone support is excellent. Their email support, however, is a joke. If they can't do it - they should just just dump email support.
