I swear.... I don't get most of todays popular music. I honestly try too. I make myself listen (now and then). The whole urban thug culture thing just offends me. It is like people take pride in being ignorant and/or dishonorable. I think I was born a century or two too late.
Then again I saw The Civil Wars Unplugged this week. Awesome, two voices one acoustic guitar or the acoustuc guitar and a piano on some songs... the downside, they brokeup (for now). They make two voices and one instrument sound like a full soundstage.
Don't even get me started on Beiber. I am appalled that my grand daughters like him. I expect him to crash and burn in a year or two, Disney style.

Some dumbarse thought it would be a good idea to get Beiber to play half time at the Grey Cup. Yeah... middle aged Canadian football fans are TOTALLY into the Beib. He got booed. Gordon Lightfoot saved the day.

Oh man... just watched the first couple minutes. Freaking horrifying. What's even scarier are the no souled corporate schlong gobblers saying how awesome it is in the comments.
THIS... is why real musicians can't catch a break in today's industry. You either have to be a stripper, a criminal or a ponce to hit it big.

Yeah... if they hadn't have booked him as well there quite possibly could have been a riot. Beib's was also recently given the Order of Canada for some ridiculous reason and wore cruddy overalls with one strap flapping loose when the Harperbot presented it to him. I mean I'm not one for pomp and ceremony but that ain't right. Little twerp.
