Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 will only do 16bit audio driver bit depth? My bad-it's fine

I didn't have it set to asio-duh- I need to relax and just get it working-sorry for the stupid post-

    You have to use the Mixcontrol software to setup and run this unit.
    On the page below, you have the lastest (1.2) Mixcontrol software and the latest (2.4) driver:

    It does :-) I am spending the entire weekend locked in my studio-Thursday is coming real quick. I am installing Kontakt 5 on the laptop-the samples are already on the ext drive with same drive letters as my daw so I will (hopefully) be able to use some of my projects that are using Scarbee Basses-I have them all. Also the smaller kontakt version of Steven slate drums which is one of my libraries in Kontakt. That will free me up.
    But, I can tell you-I have an old laptopwith PIII that runs CWPA 9 perfectly. and my old trusty SC88vl, just in cas the Asus laptop blows up. Because the Old Dell laptop has an TYpe II caerd slot and I have the indigo card which really sound great and they even have x64 drivers for Win7 but not many laptops have the card bus anymore

    I would love a simpler backup solution but I will only be out once a month so I am going to have to buy a nother small mixer-maybe the 8 channel Mackie or even the Yamaha $99.
     
    I wish I could get the Sony PCM 10 to be more user friendly because the projects sound great coming out of there.
