Izotope Ozone 5

Let there be no doubt that I am not a veteran of DAWs or recording, but over the last year and a half I've accumulated a lot of software [all legit]. I don't know about you guys but yesterday I fell in love with Izotope Ozone5. I've tested it on several different styles and it really brings things to life. Maybe it's the newbie in me but I love it! Demoing is a real problem for me. I'll undoubtedly pony up the $249 in the next ten days. That software rocks!

Yep I have been recommending it for many years now. I don't believe there is a better mastering suite around.

Be advised a little Ozone goes a long way. Ozone can and will screw up a mix quicker than anything else. Used with some moderation it can do wonders.

Gave up on Waves some time ago and now just use Ozone 5 along with PLParEQ for EQ.

Looks like now is the time to buy ... Ozone is on sale right now at AD for $159!  Great prices on iZotope bundles, too.

I bought Ozone 5 when I did my X2 upgrade. I spent to much money on software this year. Ozone was worth it though.

My "go-to" store also.  Sometimes plugindiscounts.com will beat their prices, so it pays to check around.

Just checked a couple of bundle prices at AD.  If you like Ozone but find it too much of a CPU hog to run on individual tracks, Alloy may be a good investment.  Bundle of both is currently $245:

Couple that with the Groove3 tutorial, and you are in good shape!

Wow. Thanks for the responses. Great prices at AD. Is Alloy2 worth adding to it? Does Groove3 have a tutorial specifically for Ozone5?

Ozone is great, as is Alloy 2.  Alloy finds its way onto just about all my tracks now, if only for the great sounding and easy to use EQ.

Replying to my own questions: Just did a bit of research and I see Groove 3 has MANY tutorials so I will pick it up. If I buy Alloy2 in the bundle am I going to regret all the ProChannel plugins that I've bought? I love the PC2A Leveler. Some of the others that I've bought are nice to have around but I don't use very much. Decisions, decisions ....

oh yeah..Ozone and Alloy were the only plugs that made me say WOW!! i never got to reap the benefits of ProChannel cause Alloy kicks so much butt on everything. they are a must have.. for anyone considering  a high-end plugin bundle, should take a good look at Alloy and Ozone. they do it all. i hope you can get it on sale, it would be a tremendous value.

Well, I ordered the bundle from AudioDeluxe this morning for $245. Now I'm just waiting for them to get out of bed and process it. Who doesn't use automatic CC processing these days? BTW, I feel bad about this thread turning out this way on the Sonar forum. I love Sonar X1/2. Just getting add-on plugins [for the Cakewalk peeps reading] :)

CW and Izotope are close collaborators. I don't think CW minds this sort of thread. Ozone has been posted about many times before.

well they are both Boston based and a certain person now works for them..

personally I use the fab filter stuff on individual channels as apposed to alloy.. sure it's not cheap, but it's good
