Sonar X2 audio listening problems

I just downloaded Sonar X2 and I'm having audio quality issues with my my headphones.  It sounds muddled like under water. I'm new at this but wonder if there's a setting I can change.  My videos sound find in DVR format. Any ideas?

    What are your: computer specs? sound card specs? audio preferences specs? (Impossible to try to help without some of that basic info.)
