True Horror
Most of my music is related to science fiction and horror themes, but nothing is as horrifying as the 6:00 news, so I bring you: Debating the Fiscal Cliff (11:28) Republicans on the right (channel), Democrats on the left (channel), and Horror in the middle. http://www.arachnaut.net/audio/Reakt...scal-Cliff.mp3

I'd be more concerned with the digital cliff.

The first link worked for me. I only had time to listen to 5 minutes of it. I'll try to finish it later. It sounds good. Interesting idea.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys? X2(X3 pending hardware upgrade), Emulator X2, E-mu 1212M, Virtual String Machine

This was made using Chromaphone as the sound source on 4 tracks. Fractal Tune Smithy provided the MIDI data stream. I placed 3 stacked Kore FX on two channels and manipulated them in real-time to get about one hour of improvisation. Then I took the best part of that mix and re-mixed it with two more stacks of Kore macros to unify the orchestration. Most of the Kore FX were from the Deep Freq bank which is my favorite set of effects of all time. Too bad Kore is no more. It was all live and quite fun. But not for everyone...

"Hear this sound?" What midnight drunk / meth addict came up with that??? Something wrong with a simply round circle with the universally recognized "Play" symbol in it? As for the track, I thought it was pretty interesting. I kept thinking I could speed it up and add some trance beats to it... Heh. (Oh, and I was very pleased that you couldn't hear either the Dems or the Pubs! )
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

(Oh, and I was very pleased that you couldn't hear either the Dems or the Pubs! ) You are welcome to download the original file and add tarnce as you like: http://www.arachnaut.net/...g-the-Fiscal-Cliff.wav It is pretty big and soundcloud would not accept it for some reason - it kept on getting aborted and re-trying, so I uploaded the MP3 copy there. 'Hear this sound here' might be better, but not by much. The project was made with a pack of Kore FX, you can see it's setup in Google Communities: https://plus.google.com/u...6610/posts/BX5A7MX8DjY
