Hi,
I don't know ... I have all the albums, and like I mentioned before the "remasters" all sound like the old English imports to me ... with the separation of left and right a lot more clear for your brain to enjoy ... but there were moments that were much better that the remaster did not have the vision to put together.
In The Wall, when the girl comes into the room and say ... wow, look at all these guitars ... in the old days of the quadraphonic shows, it would start on one speaker and go around almost 180 degrees to the other speakers behind you, or the like ... and this gave a perfect illusion that someone walked by you, and said hello and ignored you on the way to look at the guitars.
So, I go listen to my old roomies "remastered" version, and it was cold as ice and like she didn't go anywhere. And in the latest version by Roger that he is running around with the girl starts on the left and ends on the right ... end of the sound, and no quadraphonic experience ... that was way more "real" than the rest. I gave Roger a hard time on that one, for fun!
I have so much PF and articles and what not from all the years since 1972, that I'm not sure a box set would even come close to the whole experience.
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
