How do I Route SD-50 MIDI Module Output to an Audio Track?

What the topic says. I'd like to be able to record MIDI track by track by passing them through the SD-50's MIDI Module and having the resulting audio shown in an audio track.

You have to record the output of the module in the same way you would any other instrument.

How exactly do I do that? I have no idea what settings to use. I tried opening an audio track with the input Stereo SD-50 IN and Output SD-50 Out with the MIDI source as All Inputs Omni and output as SD-50.

I am running the SD-50 in ASIO mode.

EDIT : I figured out that I have to turn TG to Computer On and arm an audio track for recording. That means that I'll have to manually record the output as it plays. Is there a way to quicken this? (Like perhaps Bounce to Track.)

EDIT2 : Attempting to bounce to track would just yield an empty audio file being recorded.

That depends on the SD-50. I have a Sonic Cell that appears to be very  similar so this may not be entirely accurate and it's worth checking the SD-50's manual.

With that the MIDI sound module can be routed to the computer (i.e. the USB input). That will show as an input in SOnar. Those settings will be somewhere in the SD-50's routing options. On the Sonic Cell it can routed to Computer+Output allowing the output to be recorded and monitored at the same time.

In Sonar you need to set the output of the MIDI track to the SD-50 and the Audio track's input to the SD-50's line input (assuming that is the input you are using) then arm the audio track and record as normal.

No you can't bounce to track with hardware you need to record in real time, but there's no need to do that until you are happy with the finished sound. Again assuming that the SD-50 is anything like the Sonic Cell there are plenty of onboard effects to use to shape the sound. You can use the live input option within Sonar to record the output at export time but again it needs to be done in real time. There's really no way round that.

Thanks for the help, I guess I should learn to manually record MIDI tracks in real time when I use the SD-50 Synthesizer module.
