Video shoot, need to speed up a song to 125%

I am no director so I have no idea how this usually goes down.
I am shooting a music video and the video's director needs the song at 125% speed in order to shoot some slow-mo shots properly.

Is it possible in Sonar to speed up an MP3/WAV file by a specific percentage?
Audio degradation and tone isn't really of concern, just need to have playback properly sped up.

    Yep  very easy...

load your stereo mix in Sonar,  grab the tail end of the clip while holding down "Control" and drag the clip out.   A percentage will show up at the bottom of the clip telling you how much you slowed or sped up the audio.

Moosick works great for this.  Quick slider for pitch/speed.

Surely if he wants to speed the clip up he needs to shrink the clip by dragging IN not OUT yes?

My experience has been the sound quality of a stretched clip is lousy. Always have had to bounce to clips to be happy.

This may be a function of a "slow" computer.

So, you could clone the stereo mix a bunch of times and change times and bounce.

But this is why I suggeted moosick. It works in real time. And the director might want some different speeds.

    I encourage you to experiment.

    thanks guys!
Another member of the band has Logic and is looking into that as well. One or the other will hopefully get the job done well enough for simple playback.

I'll be check this out in a few hrs!
